The images in the Classic Collection are taken from period and listed buildings we have worked on in both town and country. These include three Nash houses and Grade 1, Grade 11* and Grade 11 properties, the design complexities of which we are experienced in dealing with.

Background
Diana Blanchard established her Primrose Hill design practice in 1991, where she leads a team of nine, and opened a studio in Dubai in 2007. She also launched a furniture and lighting company, More Blanchard, last year.
Projects
Current projects include refurbishment and redecoration of a Nash House in Regent’s Park; a large family home in Hampstead; a new-built property on a private estate in Jersey; a boutique hotel in Belgravia; a period property in Richmond; and an art-deco private residence in Sunningdale.

Ask Diana Blanchard why she became an interior designer and the answer is simple: “Because I am passionate about design and love working with people.” Having set up her design business, Blanchard, in Primrose Hill in the depths of recession in 1991, she knew the signs were good when the business not only survived but flourished. Today, much of her work comes through word of mouth – clients are attracted to her subtle, sympathetic style, which veers between classic and contemporary depending on the project.

Designer Profile: From the early days, when she aspired to decorate a Regent’s Park house by Nash (she’s now completed three) she has established a reputation for up-market residential work, at home and across Europe. While she claims there’s no Blanchard signature style, it’s clear that clients come to her for a look of restrained luxury, incorporating natural materials, in traditional or modern contexts. She says the architecture is always her starting point, as are the classical principles of good proportion and symmetry, but ambience matters too. “Many of our clients have hectic lifestyles,” she says, “It’s my brief to create a haven of tranquillity for them.”
